KIWAMWAKU is operating with various partners since 2020?

Yes. KIWAMWAKU has come a long way. For me the challenges we were facing on a daily basis were a good reason for me to take risks. Tanzania is highly threatened by climate change impacts and environment as a whole. I wanted to start addressing the issues to my society but to achieve this, I had no shortcut but sacrifices and commitments without a salary until we were able to get partners who are currently supporting us.

I am passionate about empowering my fellow Tanzanians in order to protect the country’s development, communities and their livelihoods.

What is going on at KIWAMWAKU daily?

At KIWAMWAKU we work to coordinate and provide a platform for everyone where environment, agriculture (Agroforestry), gender and health sciences are shared and best practices methods are presented to the public.

How would you describe the development at KIWAMWAKU?

Well, this is an interesting question. When the whole process started, KIWAMWAKU was a loose organization which neither had a big vision nor human resources, but for four years it has grown tremendously from staff and resources, we developed a professionally operating organization with a 10 years strategy, clear human and financial policies. We have managed to hire qualified staff members who are very passionate about their work. We are improving every day and striving for greatness. Right now, the organization is on a very good path towards sustainability and professionalism. I am incredibly proud of our accomplishments.

 How do you see the future of your country in terms of wellbeing?

I would like to refer this to our work as an organization. We support the idea of growth in Tanzania. We would love to see a Tanzanian society that is free from diseases and well developed. We would love to see Tanzanian communities are embracing agroforestry, gender & health sensitive and sustained in all aspects with economy being among them.
